CERAMIC DECORATIVE PAINT SET
These paints, made from the finest ground pigments, are easily mixed with water. Applying a sharp outline is very easy when using a paintbrush or stamp. Ceramic decorative paints are very economical and can all be blended with each other, which allows a large colour range to be achieved. The paints can be used as underglazes and also for the majolica technique. When used as an underglaze, the paints are painted directly onto the biscuit surface. When used for majolica, the paints are applied onto a white opaque glaze surface. In both cases, the glaze and decorative paints are fired together. The colours are fired in the 950ºC - 1200ºC range, with the exception of orange which should be fired at a maximum of 1100ºC. As the paints are fired with the glaze, a firing temperature of 1050ºC is recommended. All the paints are lead, barium and cadmium free. A metal case with 12 up to date colours (in small blocks) is available, that has been used successfully in schools, occupational therapy and by hobbyists. The case contains the following colours: White, Orange-Yellow, Red, Rosewood, Cherry Red, May Green, Chrome Green, Light Blue, Blue, Nut Brown, Slate Grey and Black.
