CHARBONNEL COPPER PRESS ETCHING INKS
The basic and artists’ copper press inks by Charbonnel have been put together in an intaglio assortment of artists’ quality materials. In so doing, Lefranc and Bourgeois have created a clear product line, which groups copper-press inks together in a range of uniform high quality. In order to achieve a balanced colour range, the blue, green and earth colours of the old assortment have been changed and the yellow- and red tones have been kept. In keeping with this quality line, the Charbonnel copper press inks have had their quality upgraded. The lightfast properties of the inks have improved, as well as the drying characteristics. 44 different colours in 60ml tubes and 200ml pots are available. 29 colours are available in 400ml pots. The range is completed with an assortment of 4 white and 8 black colours. The inks in the tubes and pots have the same texture, with those in the pots being a little thicker. For changing the consistency of the inks in pots, linseed oil can be used to make them softer and more workable.
