Cold Glaze is a 2 component material, consisting of resin and hardener. (Mixing Ratio 1:1). After mixing, the compound is thin and fluid. The viscosity changes in time, first viscous, then syrupy and putty-like. The change in viscosity is used for different applications. The slightly thickened compound is used e.g for the coating of copper plates, in order to create brooches or pendants. The glaze is applied in a slightly thicker layer that makes the objects look even more precious - it looks like a precious gem has been placed on it. The glaze dries within 8-12 hours, hardens in 12 hours and is finished after 72 hours. Cold Glaze can also be used for the embedding and gluing of objects and for the impregnation of cloth (lamp shades). It can be mixed with different fillers e.g. glitter, metal powder, quartz, cork, coloured chips, that allows to colour the material either transparently or opaque. Cold Glaze can be applied on almost any surface e.g. cardboard, wood, metal, ceramics, china, casting resin and polystyrene. The glaze always forms an even smooth surface, resistant to scratches, abrasions and chemicals making them ideal for using outside. They are also dishwasher-proof and food safe. Available in 2 different packet sizes. Each pack includes 1 bottle of Cold Glaze Resin, 1 bottle of Cold Glaze Hardener, 2 small mixing cups, 2 spatulas and an instruction leaflet. Price per pack.
