DALER ROWNEY ARTISTS' FINEST WATER COLOURS
Since 1783 Daler-Rowney have been producing Artists' Water Colours and these have been used by renowned artists such as J.M.W. Turner. Over two hundred years later, they are still working closely with noted artists, as well as with the Royal Watercolour Society. One outcome of this co-operation is the Artists' Water Colours range which brings the advantage of the latest pigment technology to the artists' palette and offers him a greater range of high-performance permanent colours. All but 2 of the 80 colours are classified either as extremely lightfast or very lightfast.
Artists' Finest Water Colours are characterised by an extraordinarily rich free-flowing colour that does not form hard edges. Its unique qualities are the product of a special formula which is based on a suspension of the finest pigments in soluble gum Arabic. The formula for each colour differs according to its characteristics and its behaviour. Only the best pigments are used and in order to achieve the greatest colour intensity the pigments must be extremely finely ground.
The optimal pigment grain size varies according to pigment type and the pigment grain for each individual colour is measured with special apparatus, with only the optimal size reaching the production process.
The consistency of each colour tone is carefully measured to establish the ideal viscosity and tests with regard to colour tone, structure and stability are carried out throughout the production process.
The 80 colour tones of the Artists' Water Colour range are available in half pans or in tubes of 5ml and 15ml. Price per half pan or tube.
