ENGOBES

We supply ready to use engobes in liquid form in transparent plastic containers with screw-top lids. Applied to smooth surfaces or relief shapes, it provides an interesting surface that emphasises rusticity. Engobes are applied to green ware with a paintbrush, stamp or engobe bulb. After drying it can be biscuit fired at 960ºC. Finally apply colourless transparent glaze Code number. 61021, 61022 or 61023 and fire at 1040ºC. Engobes can be blended with each other and after drying, colours can be applied on top of other colours. To lighten engobes, use white engobe. Engobes can also be applied to mature bisque, thereafter glaze and fire. Available in 500ml containers.
