The Gerstaecker range of finest artists pigments has been produced to ensure that opaque pigments for the whole colour spectrum are available for every painting technique, to suit every binder, and to meet every demand. The brilliant and highly opaque SYNUS∗ pigments head up each segment of bright colours (See Key for explanation) and serve those artists wishing to create frescoes.
The centre of every colour sphere is made up of very economical, brilliant glazing pigments. They form a counterpart to Azo- and Phthalo pigments. This is a clear advantage since in the yellow/orange/red areas types of pigment are used which have distinctly better properties. These pigments are relatively easily processed thus accommodating the large scale user and artists wishing to avoid a lot of preparation.
Furthermore, we make available practically all the current pigments that are of value to the user. On the one hand these are highly interesting specialities, in part the latest developments in the pigment sector, and on the other hand the much sought after classic pigments.
Finally in the non-bright pigment area, all types that are of practical value are included, predominantly as natural coloured earths supplemented by synthetic brown pigments (some synthetic brown pigments are named in the yellow and red areas because the transition is fluid, e.g. Iron oxide yellow, Chrome titanium yellow, Iron oxide red …). Also, when it comes to Black and White, all pigment types of practical use are available.
The selection of Gerstaecker’s finest artists pigments has, therefore, been carefully undertaken. At the forefront was our endeavour to choose pigments having the most up to date level of technical development, those that guarantee the highest colourfastness and an optimum price to performance ratio.
