GERSTAECKER RUEGENER CHALK

Chalk has been used for centuries - especially in Northern Europe - as a white pigment for priming as well as a filler for water-based paints, pastels, and for gilding primers. Ruegener 'Mud Chalk' is lightfast, and only slightly water soluble - yet in carbon dioxide treatment, acid soluble; and in alkali, insoluble. In aqueous binders it has an opaque effect and in oil binders it is transparent. It has moderate colouring ability. Available in a 1kg or 5kg bucket. Price per bucket.
