GERSTAECKER STUDIO STRETCHED CANVAS - LARGE FORMATS
This standard range offers a great variety of stretched canvas sizes to suit most individual requirements and avoid the need for more expensive made-to-order canvases.
Choose from 50 rectangular and 10 square sizes. All Gerstaecker Studio stretched canvases have a tightly stretched canvas, medium weave 100% cotton, wrapped over the frame.
The canvas is treated with a semi-absorbent universal primer. Suitable for oil, acrylic, gouache and tempera painting. Canvas is also available in rolls.
The Gerstaecker Studio stretcher frames are hand-made using top quality seasoned pine.
Each stretcher is 2cm wide, for lengths of 80cm a centre support section is utilized to stabilise the frame. From 80 cm x 80 cm, both vertical and horizontal frame supports (i.e. a cross support frame) are used. The frames can also be tensioned using hardwood wedges since the frames are neither stapled nor glued in the wedge slots.
