GERSTAECKER STUDIO XXL STRETCHED CANVAS
This canvas is a new series within the very successful Gerstaecker Studio range. The striking feature is the 7.5cm (3ins) depth of the canvas stretcher frame. This extra deep stretched canvas gives any artwork great presence. The stretcher bars have a profile of 38mm wide and 75mm deep.
The material is 100% cotton, 380g/m2, medium texture, very resilient, and carefully primed with a semi-absorbent universal acrylic primer. The surface is ideal for all techniques: Oil, acrylic, gouache and tempera.
The canvas is not fixed to the stretcher frame with staples, but instead it is held by a robust rubber band in a groove at the back of the frame. This arrangement allows for expansion and contraction due to variation in humidity and temperature – and obviates the need for wedges.
The price is per single stretched canvas, and in bulk packs of 2 or 4 canvasses, depending on size, for which there is a 10% discount on the single unit price.
