HAHNEMUEHLE SUMI -E PAPER

Hahnemuhle have recently developed this 80g/m² paper especially for Sumi-e Japanese ink drawing work. The paper has been sized on one side, is acid free and age resistant, but is very absorbent - so well suited to the quite wet technique of Sumi-e. ‘Sumi’ translates as black ink, and ‘e’ as a way or technique – and sumi-e is a fast technique in experienced hands, creating striking aesthetic pieces normally depicting natural subjects. Available in 2 formats as blocks gummed on 4 sides of 20 sheets each. Price per block.
