They are made from a water-soluble, age-resistant acrylic resin and pure lightfast pigments. The colours are finely dispersed and come in a concentrated, viscous form making them practical and versatile to use. In any concentration, they dry to a uniform matt finish, with durable richness and intensity. The selection of 25 colours allows all possible tones to be mixed. Lascaux Aquacryl Artists' water colours can be applied with a brush, airbrush or other methods. They can be applied direct or diluted with water and painted on almost any surface. In thin layers, they are almost completely water resistant when dry, allowing further layers to be applied without dissolving. Nevertheless, layers can be partially lifted and reused. On the palette, the paints remain water-soluble. Lascaux Aquacryl are regarded as physiologically and toxicologically safe.
