LASCAUX DECORA TEMPERA
The ready-to-use Lascaux Decora colours are distinguished by their superior brilliance, strong covering power and excellent handling properties. Decora colours are ideal for school projects at all ages. They are suitable for teaching art at all levels, as well as for creative, decorative and poster art.
All colours are made with high quality lightfast pigments and modern, stable binders. They can be diluted with water, are easy to handle in all hues and form smooth opaque layers or transparent washes.
Lascaux Decora are particularly versatile colours which lend themselves to all painting techniques. They can be over painted in several layers without dissolving and intermixing with previous layers.
Lascaux Decora can be applied to all absorbent supports including paper, cardboard, canvas, wood and plaster, as well as earthenware and fabrics. Though nonporous materials, such as glass, plastic or metal offer only limited adhesion, they do have the advantage of allowing the paint to be removed with water if desired.
Lascaux Decora dries to a rich, velvety matt finish, with only a slight lightening in value upon drying. All areas of colour can be sprayed with Lascaux Fixative, rendering them to a large extent scratch and water resistant.
