LUKAS AQUARELL 1862 MOIST ARTIST'S WATERCOLOURS

Lukas Aquarell 1862 has been one of the most outstanding ranges in the field of artists watercolours for over 140 years. Over the past two years, the Lukas laboratory has been working on optimising this range and the results of this costly revision are the improvement of the lightfastness and mixing properties, increased colour brilliance and a thoughtful extension of the colour palette.

The new range offers the 70 high brilliance tones, 14 new colour tones, 33 tones with improved formulae , 23 tones adhering to the tried and tested classic 1862 watercolour formulae, 48 single pigment tones , use of the best classic/modern artists’ pigments in highest concentration, very good lightfastness (58 tones with a grade 7-8 lightfastness on the Blue Wool scale), outstanding solubility and first class results.

Lukas Aquarell 1862 is made from exclusively high quality pigments. A refined milling and mixing combination in production ensures outstanding blending on the palette and paint application to the paper. The specially developed manufacturing process using particular binding and wetting agents allows the colours to dissolve easily and protect expensive watercolour brushes. 70 colours are available in whole and half pans as well as in 24ml tubes.
