Was invented by Franz Kolb of Munich, Germany in 1880 and is still available. A ready to use modelling material remains smooth over the years, is ineffective when cold. it does not stick to fingers and offers some resistance despite its smoothness and elasticity. Plaster casts on plasticine get astonishing precision and refinement. An ideal material for manufacturing, enjoys great popularity not only in amateur and school but also for professionals such as sculptors.
