NESCHEN FILMOPLAST MENDING TAPES - P90
These are the two most respected tapes in conservation work. Both are wood-free, self-adhesive paper-based tapes featuring an acrylic adhesive designed to protect cellulose fibres. With the Filmoplast P tape, both the paper base and the adhesive have a pH of 8.5, however the Filmoplast P90 adhesive is also 8.5 but the paper base is pH 8.0. Tapes can be removed using water (unlike document repair tape) or a suitable solvent. The difference between the two is colour; Filmoplast P is a transparent, wafer-thin tape, whereas Filmoplast P90 is an opaque white tape. The roll measures 2cm wide x 50m long. Price per roll.
