ORIGINAL ENGLISH SCRAPER BOARD

Deep black. English scraper board is made from high-grade water stable card. Several layers of finely ground white chalk, China clay and size are applied to the surface. Afterwards the boards are dried and given a deep black overprint and a velvety matt surface finish. With scraper knives, highly effective fine lines, hatching and semi-tones can be achieved.

Contrasting techniques stand out well on the card. Professional artists delight in the versatility of the material. We advise that our etching needles work just as well as scraper-knives do with this product.
