ROHRER & KLINGNER GOLD AND SILVER DRAWING INK
New shades of drawing ink in gold and silver have been added to this range: a liquid bronze and a mica pigment (minerals with brilliant sheen) are employed - both water-based paints, for calligraphy as well as decorative purposes. For the gold shade, bronze colour pigments (copper alloy) are used for optical and technical reasons. For the silver ink, a coated mica pigment is used.
The colours are ready to use and can be diluted with water. Use a brush, pen, nib or airbrush (nozzle 0.5 - 0.8mm) on paper, cardboard and wood. Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed first with a paint primer such as dispersion-based Gesso Primer. Test adhesion and absorbency on other surfaces such as fabric, metal or glass before application of gold and silver. Both tones have a brilliant, distinctive sheen and are waterproof when dry for any further work. They are mixable with each other and with any other Rohrer and Klingner Calligraphy Ink. Shake well before use. Available in a 50ml bottle. Price per bottle.
