The “rapidograph” by rotring is exceptionally low-maintenance. Instead of a normal ink reservoir it has a capillary ink cartridge. Ink reservoir and ink exchange are one which means that whenever the ink supply is used up and you insert a new capillary ink cartridge, this gives the pen a fresh, clean ink exchange, a completely new pressure equalization system, thereby removing the need for cleaning the pressure equalization system.
