SCHJERNING PORCELAIN PAINTS
Lead-free paints that are renowned for their brilliance, unusual fineness and the evenness of quality throughout the colour range. The standard range contains 63 tones and 3 metallic colours, all of which are lead-free and therefore comply with all the strictest health regulations. These paints are suitable for painting crockery to be used for eating and drinking.
Schjerning porcelain paints are available in pots of 3 or 6 grams. They are very finely ground and may be easily mixed with mediums and porcelain oils. The transparent glaze colours are applied in thin coats and fired at 800ºC for approximately 30 minutes. Finally, a coat of Fondant (Code 63120/040) is applied and then the article is fired again at 800º C.
For stronger colour, apply two coats and fire each coat at 800º C. For additional brilliance, the first firing can be carried out at 900º C, minor colour variations may then occur.
