Also known as Plakat tempera, part of the HKS-system, as featured in the Agreement on Colours from Draft to Print. The letters HKS stand for the firms Hostmann-Steinberg, Kast and Ehinger and Schmincke, who developed this system. These paints have a lime gum base and use modern, authorised and non-toxic pigments. All colours can be mixed together. For HKS drafts, however, the unmixed paints should be used straight from the tube. After HKS Designers Gouache has been left to dry, water can subsequently be added and it can be re-worked. The complete range comprises 60 colours and 2 different whites in tubes. Price per tube.
