They are called 'Finest' because the individual recipes use the best genuine artists' pigments in the highest concentrations, and because like Mussini - finest artists' resin oil paints - they are carefully ground, then left to mature for several months before being put in tubes.

As well as the expensive traditional shades, Norma Professional includes a number of shades making use of modern reliable pigments in the lower price groups. Where, for environmental or price reasons, genuine cadmium or cobalt shades have been adjusted through mixing, this is indicated by the word 'hue', in the colour name.
