Anchor Wash + Filz-It Felting Wool consists of 100% pure wool which felts brilliantly in the washing machine. Simply knit, crochet or plait and machine wash at 40° C!
This Anchor Wash + Filz-It Felting Wool produces a particularly high-quality and durable felt that you can cut easily. It is sold in 50g balls.
Care instructions: hand wash in cold water using a wool detergent.
For guidance: the wool fibres combine to form a solid felt under the influence of moisture, heat and friction. The wool can shrink by up to 40%. If you want to know exactly how much your wool will shrink make a felt sample: create an area of 30 x 30 cm in your chosen technique and felt this. After the felting measure it again e.g. 20 x 20 cm, which gives the calculation for the shrinkage factor of the wool 30: 20 = 1.5. This value is multiplied by the desired finished size of the felt piece and you get the dimensions for yoour pre-felted work.
