Excellent Range - I cannot endorse these paints highly enough, and like others, deplore the fact they are no longer supplied in tubes.
I have used these paints for at least 25 years now, and they are consistently wonderful to use. The "pick-up" from the pan is far superior to many other artist's quality colours...including the much-lauded W&N. Many colours do not stain, being, as they are stated to be, single-pigment colours and seem to have very few dyes added...if any.
Some colours, especially one or two of the umbers I have found a bit gelatinous which makes them difficult to use, but they are easily avoided in practice and therefore present no problem.
The colours seem perfectly light-fast over the years I have used them.
My advice is to buy a set of 12 and give them a try...I doubt they will disappoint!

I keep coming back to these wonderful paints! - These were my first artist quality watercolours...

I keep coming back to these wonderful paints! - These were my first artist quality watercolours but because they were so inexpensive and the fact that you can only get the pans, I experimented with other high quality brands including Winsor and Newton, Daniel Smith, Daler Rowney , Royal Talens and Lukas which all have their absolutely wonderful qualities, BUT I still keep coming back to the white nights set time after time, I absolutely love their intense silky colours, their transparency is really second to non and they lift like a dream. They have gorgeous blues, the pics on the site don't do them any justice at all, and for the price you just cannot beat them at all, but the real set back is no tubes and if working at any speed these paints are sticky (honey yes lovely but..) and can be frustrating when the whole pan comes out of the palette attached to your brush. However recommended wholeheartedly, try them and you will love them!
