Gerstaecker Thin Profile Floater Frames
Gerstaecker Thin Profile Floater Frames are made of Ayous wood. They are ideal for displaying stretchers, Tintoretto panels etc. as your artwork appears to 'float' above the frame.
Gerstaecker Thin Profile Floater Frames have a narrow profile width of 41mm with a depth of 34mm. The visible edge of the frame is 10mm. To frame stretched canvases simply place the canvas face down and the frame also face down over the top of the canvas. Screw canvas spring clips or canvas securing clips into the back of the canvas and secure it into the Gerstaecker Thin Profile Floater Frame. To frame photographs first mount them onto a backing board with double-sided tape and then fix them into the frame from the back.
Alternative fixing instructions: Screw screws into the empty frame from below and leave them to protrude slightly above. Position your stretcher correctly and then press down on the screw tips to mark the postion. Drill these marked holes on your stretcher and tighten the screws from below.
Please note:
1. When purchasing any floater frame from GreatArt, select a frame the same size as your canvas. Adding extra length is not necessary as this has already been taken into account.
