MAIMERI ODOURLESS THINNER is a thinner for oil paint, based on refined and distilled petroleum. Because the aromatic hydrocarbons have been largely removed, it is virtually odourless.

This thinner should be used mainly in the lower layers of your painting, bearing in mind the fat-over-lean rule. Because excessive use can cause your paint to run, it is best to use the thinner sparingly.

Only when applying a first — very thin — imprimatura can you use MAIMERI ODOURLESS THINNER more liberally. As it has a medium dissolving power it is not suitable as a solvent for (natural) resins.
