Sennelier's Natural Gum Arabic is extracted from the African acacia tree. It is used for the preparation of watercolour, pastel and gouache colours as well as an adhesive.

If used as a binder, Sennelier's Natural Gum Arabic gives the colours transparency, shine and luminosity. For the preparation, 20-35% gum arabic is dissolved in cold water for 2 hours with frequent stirring.
