ARCHES® Watercolour Paper is renowned for its professional quality. It is 100% cotton, ensuring exceptional resistance to scratches and erasing. The paper is dipped in gelatine glue right down to the core, which preserves the brightness and transparency of the colours. The gelatin prevents paint from penetrating the paper, and allows layers of paint to be applied on top of each other.
This paper can absorb a large amount of water with limited deformation. It is also fungicidally treated to prevent mould. It is acid-free with an alkaline reserve and contains no optical brighteners. The paper has a fine grain that provides a smooth, uniform surface, ideal for working with pencil, charcoal or ink with precision. The drawing cover provides rigidity and protection, allowing you to transport your creations safely.
