Claessens - a family business with a long tradition:
In 1906, Victor Claessens founded a company in Belgium for the production of high-quality artist canvases. To this end, he optimised the tried and tested production methods that had previously been passed down from generation to generation.
Over a century later, the CLAESSENS® company is still producing at the same location in Waregem. The descendants of Victor Claessens have made the conscious decision to pursue production on a small scale and to continue the traditional methods of making artists' canvases. Nowadays, much of the work is done by machine, but the core of the production process has remained unchanged. This respect for tradition and experience has made CLAESSENS® a well-known brand name among artists far beyond the borders of Europe.
