This CRETACOLOR® Art Chunky Coloured Charcoal set contains 12 extra thick, round charcoals, Ø 18 mm, 80 mm long. These charcoals are ideal for large-area sketching.
Their large diameter makes them ideal for quickly filling in large areas with broad strokes, though they are less suitable for fine details. They can be used directly on paper and then manipulated with a wet brush to create watercolour-like glazes and washes. You can even scrape off dust from the stick to mix with water or gum arabic for an opaque, gouache-like paint.
