The leads in this CRETACOLOR® Artist's Leads assortment are:

  • graphite 4B (a smooth, soft graphite for dark values and blending)
  • white chalk (ideal for highlights on toned paper)
  • sanguine (a rusty-red lead with an oil binder that resists smudging)
  • artists' charcoal (a powdery black lead for deep, expressive strokes)
  • light sepia (a warm, light brownish-grey tone)
