These da Vinci Stencilling Brushes Series 111 are also known as stippling brushes. They are particularly useful for working with stencils or for fabric printing.

The short, natural beechwood handle sits comfortably in the hand so that the colour can be applied from above and not pushed under the stencil. da Vinci Stencilling Brushes Series 111 can also be used for other techniques, e.g. aquatint etching. The brushes are very robust, hard-wearing and particularly suitable for pastose colour application.
