DERWENT INKTENSE pencils are a vibrant range of watersoluble pencils with a brilliant intensity. They are ideal for pen and wash drawings. The pure, clear colours are perfect for thick, expressive drawings.

These DERWENT INKTENSE pencils are ideal for everything from traditional landscapes and still lifes, to fashion illustrations and trendy greeting cards.

If used dry the colours are strong and powerful, however if you moisten the lead you get a much stronger, more colour-intensive and more brilliant application than when applied dry. Alternatively, paint your whole picture with water and a brush once finished to achieve a translucent effect similar to a real watercolour. This effect is permanent once dry and allows other wet and dry media to be applied over the top.

TIP! The waterproof outliner can be used to create sketches and outlines that are not water-soluble.
