Gerstaecker French Watercolour Brushes are made of fine squirrel hair in a transparent plastic ferrule, bound with copper wire. They have short lacquered wooden handles.

Great for watercolour - A great value set of brushes which I use as my main watercolour workhorses. They hold lots of paint for broad washes and make a lovely fine points for detail work. The set of 3 cover a good range.

A beautiful set of brushes. - I bought one of these brushes before and was pleasantly surpised with the quality of the squirrel hair. I love to use squirrel hair as it gives good transparent washes because of its ability to hold lots of colour which can be easily manipulated on paper with interesting effects. These are excellent value for money.
