This Hiro Leonardt Drawing Nib set No.1 is a specialised dip pen assortment packaged in a 14-compartment transparent storage box.

This set targets fine artists, illustrators, and calligraphers by offering a diverse cross-section of technical drafting, sketch, and flexible script nibs.

The Hiro Leonardt Drawing Nib set No. 1 contains:

  • 2 nib holders: 1 standard holder for standard curved attachments and 1 specialised mapping holder designed to fit ultra-fine tubular nibs
  • 1 magnet: a functional tool included specifically to help safely lift and swap small metal nibs out of their compartments.
  • 11 nibs: academic SP Gold Bronze writing nib ○ carbonless spring nickel (no 33) ○ crown spring fine bronze (no 41) ○ 1/2 mm bronze nib ○ pointed extra fine nickel (no 111) ○ nickel plated ball nib (no 300) ○ lithography extra fine ○ ornamental white spring (no 400) ○ spring steel cutting nib (no 603) ○ mark pen hard nickel (no 6) ○ drawing pen medium nickel (no 700).

TIP! Factory nibs are coated in a thin protective layer of manufacturing oil to prevent rust. Ink will pool or slide off a brand-new nib unless you clean it. Gently scrub the nib with a soft toothbrush and mild dish soap, rub it with toothpaste, or use a quick wipe with a mild alcohol prep pad before your first use.
