This Hiro Leonardt Ornamental Nib Assortment is a collection of 10 premium calligraphy dip pen nibs designed specifically for mono-line lettering, headlines, and block text.
These round-tip nibs feature an integral top-mounted ink reservoir (an integrated spring-tension cover that acts as an ink container), that ensures an exceptionally smooth, uniform ink flow without ragged edges. The nibs are made from polished steel. Unlike flexible pointed nibs or chiselled italic nibs, the disc-shaped tips provide completely consistent line thickness regardless of the writing direction. It also makes these nibs uniquely suited for tracing inside drafting shapes and lettering stencils without catching.
Hiro Leonardt Ornamental Nibs are safe to use with standard bottled fountain pen inks, heavily pigmented Chinese stick inks, watercolours, gouache, and acrylic paints. They are built with a standard curved base that fits securely into standard universal dip pen holders.
