The HOLBEIN ARTISTS' GOUACHE Irodori collection offers traditional gouache colours inspired by the beauty of the four seasons in Japan. The paint is a classic gouache based on gum arabic and dextrin.

This gouache is more finely ground than other similar products. Colours are opaque, bright and saturated. They dry evenly, uniformly and velvety matt, and offer exceptional lightfastness. No whitening agents are added to increase opacity. This paint always gives consistently reliable results.

The paint moves, reacts, blends and feels like traditional gum arabic gouache, but without the surface fragility. There is no colour shift from wet to dry. HOLBEINARTISTS' GOUACHE is compatible with all other water soluble media. Pigments were chosen for their exceptional saturation and ability to mix freely without loss of brilliance, opacity or hue value. Layering is easy, each colour will completely cover an underlying colour, without transparency.
