These KOH-I-NOOR PROGRESSO 8780 Watercolour pencils are woodless watercolour pencils – in other words, a 100% watercolour pencil without a wooden shaft. This means you can use the entire pencil — maximum value for money!
The pencils are varnished, so they dont smudge or bleed. And because they are heavier than a standard pencil, they also feel sturdy in your hand. You can use these watercolour pencils dry — like a standard coloured pencil — or wet. This gives you various options.
➽ Apply the colours dry and wash them out with a (water) brush and water.
➽ Dip the tip of the pencil in water before you start drawing or colouring.
➽ Or work with a dry pen on wet paper — this creates frayed, characterful lines and unique effects!
TIP! To sharpen this watercolour pencil, you can use a pencil sharpener designed for softer pencils, or a sanding block.
