This Lascaux Medium for Consolidation 4176 was originally developed in collaboration with Swedish conservators for the consolidation of paint layers in medieval polychrome works on wood. It is sold in 250 ml bottles

Because this medium penetrates the underlying layers exceptionally well due to its low viscosity, you can use it to quickly and safely secure loose and powdery paint layers. It is also suitable for surfaces sensitive to moisture, such as gilding and thin layers of distemper. You can use it on wooden and textile substrates.
