This 100% fine linen canvas weights 362 gsm and has a fine weave texture. It is tighter and smoother than medium or rough grades, making it excellent for detailed brushwork. Leonardesca Unprimed Linen Canvas 596 is sold in rolls measuring 10 metres by 215 cms.
Being completely unprimed (raw), this canvas gives you total control over the sizing and priming agents used. You can apply custom layers of rabbit skin glue, traditional oil primer, or modern acrylic gesso to hit your preferred absorbency levels.
