Old Holland Glossy Picture Varnish is a flexible varnish specially designed to provide lasting protection for oil paintings while preserving their original shine.
TIP! For best results, we recommend applying this varnish one year after the paint has completely dried. This will prevent any deterioration of the surface and ensure a long-lasting finish.
Thanks to its non-yellowing formulation, it guarantees an impeccable finish without altering colours over time. Made from acetone resin dissolved in turpentine, this varnish offers excellent adhesion and optimum protection against dust, damp and external forces. It enhances the intensity of the pigments and gives an even finish, while allowing the paint to breathe.
TIP! When applying, use a wide, soft brush to apply a thin, even coat over the entire work. Be careful not to pour the varnish directly onto the painted surface to avoid build-up and irregularities.
