ROHRER & KLINGNER Liquid Lithography Ink is a premium, acid-resistant printmaking ink designed specifically for drawing directly onto lithographic stones, aluminium, and zinc plates.
This ink has a high-grease formulation composed of shellac, wax, soap, and high-quality carbon black pigment. It is suitable for a broad range of application tools, including quills, steel drawing nibs, reed pens, and traditional brushes.
The finely dispersed carbon black pigments allow printmakers to execute crisp, ultra-fine lines without clogging fine pen nibs. Due to its fluid consistency and high pigment load, it is equally efficient at blocking out large, completely opaque solid black fields on the plate or stone. It can be seamlessly used alongside traditional lithographic chalks and solid stick inks to achieve varied experimental textures and tonal gradations.
