The colour of this ROHRER & KLINGNER Sepia Indian Ink is obtained from squid secretions, giving it a dark grey-brown colour. It is ideal for surface shading and brush washes, and gives great chiaroscuro effects.
ROHRER & KLINGNER Sepia Indian Ink dries waterproof and can be diluted with distilled water if necessary. It is largely lightfast. This ink differs from other drawing inks because it has shellac solution as a binder where others use a pure acrylate. It is available in 50 ml or 250 ml environmentally friendly glass bottles.
