Schmincke Pure Artists’ Pigments contain 100% pure artists pigments which guarantee the highest possible brilliance, colour intensity and yield.

These Schmincke Pure Artists’ Pigments offer maximum lightfastness and are very finely ground. Please note: depending on the pigment used, the amount of binder required varies considerably! The correct pigment / binder ratio can be recognised by the fact that the dried paint has a smooth surface and does not rub off when rubbed with the dry palm of your hand. This "chalking" indicates your mix requires more binder.

Schmincke Pure Artists’ Pigments are sold in numerous classic shades without cadmium and cobalt pigments in 100ml jars and some special Extra shades containing true cadmium and cobalt pigments in 50ml jars. Colours are also available in 1 litre pots.
