SENNELIER Painting Varnishes are available in different finishes in 1 litre bottles. These final varnishes are colourless and quick drying. They can all be thinned with turpentine oil.
Key features of the different Sennelier Painting Varnishes:
- Gloss varnish:
- synthetic resin basis
- forms a tough but hard-to-peel film.
- apply only on well-dried layers of paint
- Satin matt varnish:
- synthetic resin basis
- satin-finish film
- non-yellowing
- very resistant
- transparent reflection-free colour reproduction
- hard to remove
- Matt varnish:
- synthetic resin base
- very resistant film
- if applying a single layer it is recommended to apply a first coat of diluted satin varnish, insulating varnish, retouching varnish or gloss varnish first
- Extra-fine gloss varnish:
- based on Dammar soft resin
- gloss opaque film
- apply to well-dried layers of paint
- avoid applying in damp weather
- also thinnable with petroleum essence
