SENNELIER Painting Varnishes are available in different finishes in 1 litre bottles. These final varnishes are colourless and quick drying. They can all be thinned with turpentine oil.

Key features of the different Sennelier Painting Varnishes:

  • Gloss varnish:
  • synthetic resin basis
  • forms a tough but hard-to-peel film.
  • apply only on well-dried layers of paint

  • Satin matt varnish:
  • synthetic resin basis
  • satin-finish film
  • non-yellowing
  • very resistant
  • transparent reflection-free colour reproduction
  • hard to remove

  • Matt varnish:
  • synthetic resin base
  • very resistant film
  • if applying a single layer it is recommended to apply a first coat of diluted satin varnish, insulating varnish, retouching varnish or gloss varnish first

  • Extra-fine gloss varnish:
  • based on Dammar soft resin
  • gloss opaque film
  • apply to well-dried layers of paint
  • avoid applying in damp weather
  • also thinnable with petroleum essence
