SENNELIER Shellac Inks are extremely similar to India ink. They are suitable for calligraphy, drawing and washes, and also for mixed media techniques.

SENNELIER Shellac Inks can be used with brush, nib or bamboo pen and dry to a satin gloss finish. The high colour content, in conjunction with shellac, gives these inks a special colour brilliance and unique luminosity. They dry quickly and have good water resistance. SENNELIER Shellac Inks are available in 30 ml bottles which contain a pipette in the lid, some shades are also available in 250ml bottles.

N.B. Shades 001.002 and 003 do not contain a pipette as the pigment particles are too large.

Colour description - This is a great drawing ink and performs as well as described, however it is actually RAW sienna and the actual colour is a fair bit darker than it appears on the site. Otherwise a superb ink which has a lovely sheen and is water resistant on paper.
