Speedball®'s Flex™ Fabric Screen Printing Ink is a newly developed, professional water-based screen printing ink. You can use it to print not only on cotton and linen, but also on polyester, rayon and other synthetic fabrics.

The vibrant, rich colours are super-opaque whether you print on light or dark surfaces. The ink will not crack or peel off when the fabric is stretched — maximum flexibility, super stretch, no peel! And because the ink is drawn into the fibres of the fabric and not left on top, everything stays nice and soft and comfortable to the touch — soft hand is what Speedball® calls it.

Product specifications of Speedball®'s Flex™ Fabric Screen Printing Ink at a glance:

  • water-based
  • eco-friendly
  • super coverage
  • maximum flexibility
  • fabric remains soft (called 'soft hand')
  • heat-fixable
  • permanent

TIP! If the colours you want are not there then just mix them yourself and get colours no one else has!

For best results, leave your work to dry overnight. Speeding up the drying process can lead to problems such as insufficiently cured ink, poor adhesion or ink cracking after washing. Then fix it with heat. This way, the ink dries permanently.

As an indication, the recommended temperature and time of some fabrics:

  • 100% cotton - 300° for 1 minute
  • triblend - 300° for 1 minute
  • polyester blend - 300° for 40 seconds

TIP! Always use parchment or baking paper — we don't recommend using any other paper — to cover your work during heating, whether you do it with a heat press or iron. This prevents the ink from sticking to the heating element and ensures even heat distribution. It is always advisable to test your specific application beforehand.
