WINSOR & NEWTON™ | Artists' Picture Cleaner — for oil paintings
WINSOR & NEWTON™ Artists' Picture Cleaner is ideal for cleaning oil paintings. It is a natural, ammonia-containing resin/oil emulsion for cleaning varnish-coated paintings.
This cleaner dissolves linseed oil oxidation and oxidation products in old varnish and facilitates the cleaning of soiled oil paintings. It can also be used to clean paintings without varnish, however particular care must be taken to ensure that no colour comes off the painting.
TIP! When cleaning small parts, you should apply WINSOR & NEWTON™ Artist's Picture Cleaner to a cotton cloth. After cleaning, the remaining cleaner can be removed with balsamic turpentine oil.
