Asian Plywood is very popular both as an art education tool and also among individual artists. It can also be used as a rigid painting panel, although in this instance it should be primed before use. Asian Plywood boards are 5mm thick.
Please note: to remove stickers use a hairdryer to heat the glue.

Poor quality - Even at the offer price, the board is not good value. The quality is poor compared to earlier supplies from Great Art. It is only suitable for the most crude uses.

Increasingly poor quality - I've become increasingly disappointed with this product. I teach and use a great deal of this ply, ordering it regularly, and I have seen its quality declining sharply. The last batch has been damaged, badly sanded and then filled with wood filler and also has embossing damage. I have been embarrassed to have student's work ruined when the joins on the board open up while printing. Great Art have promised to check my orders before dispatch which is very helpful for me, but I would advise others to ask for the same service. I realise this is not an expensive product, but would gladly pay more for a reliable ply that doesn't open up as soon as it gets wet. In addition, the sticky labels are extremely irritating and damage the wood for the watercolour woodblock printing method I teach

I agree with the previous reviewer - Good value but I must agree with Trevor. Why that terrible label? I wasted a decent piece of wood as I needed a specific size and avoiding the mess made trying to remove the label made the sheet too small. The other side had a scratch!

Panels not bad, but the barcode label damages the wood - I've been using these for some time now, and although they're not brilliant ( I use 45x60 which are very prone to warping) the are OK. BUT, and this is a big but, they have started to place a barcode sticker on the corner, which is held on with glue so strong it damages the surface of the wood getting it off, either by having to dig your nail under the label, or in some cases the surface of the wood actually comes off & is stuck to the label. Either they review their labelling or I shall go elsewhere for my supplies. I used to recommend these to friends, but not any more.
