Good quality tips - I don't have this awl, but I was looking for some spare tips for another awl I own. I bought the pack of 12 spare tips. These are excellent quality, strong stainless steel, round tips. they have a round profile all through the length, and measure 2mm at the handle end, and gradually taper. They are 50mm long. I have been using them for all sorts of jobs, and they are up to most tasks, failing only when i tried to use one to mark a hole in some plaster & brickwork!! Oh, and I snapped one when trying to use it to yank some heavy leather lace through a hole that was too small for it. For any of the uses it is intended for, I am sure they are more than up to the task.
