These BLOCKX Extra-Fine Oil paint sets contain 6 x 20 ml tubes of paints made from only the best and purest pigments, giving the paints a lightfastness rating of 7-8 on the wool scale.

These colours are expressive, consistent, brilliant and lightfast. The paints have a buttery consistency and are easy to mix on the canvas.

The following Blockx Extra-Fine Oil Paint Sets are available:

  • 62226 = primary colours: cadmium yellow pale ○ indian yellow ○ cadmium red ○ carmin ○ french ultramarine blue ○ primary blue
  • 62227 = natural earth colours: golden ochre ○ venetian red ○ burnt sienna light ○ burnt umber ○ cassel earth ○ green earth
  • 62228 = mars colours: mars yellow ○ mars yellow orange ○ mars red ○ mars purple ○ mars brown ○ mars black

TIP! — For the iron oxide, earth colours and black shades best linseed oil is used as a binder, and for all other pigments poppy oil is used because it does not yellow nor become brittle with age.
